Optimus' articulation includes a ball-jointed neck, rotating and pivoting shoulders and lower arms, and elbows that bend up to a 90-degree angle. The hands fully rotate and swivel at the wrist, and each finger is jointed at the base knuckle. The thumbs are ball-jointed and freer moving than the fingers. The lower-body articulation includes a rotating waist and omnidirectional hip joints that allow you to put him in just about any walking/crouching stance imaginable.

I'm not a transformer toy collector. I've owned about 10 toys so far, and this one is definitely the best one. It is big, about 12 inch in its robot mode. Transformation is not very easy for the first time. It took me about 1 hour to completely understand the ins outs of the design. After that, I totally enjoyed this product. But the package says it's for age 5+, I doubt that a 10 year old can...
The Transformers movie is coming out in 2007, but you can get your fix now as Hasbro has a newer version of the most famous "Autobot": Optimus Prime. Hear his voice projected out of the built-in electronics in the display stand. As you probably already know, Optimus Prime transforms from a semi-truck to a freestanding robot.
